Whenever you play, please decide with your opponent whether the match will be a ranked match!
The goal of these stats is to encourage people to become better and to allow them to notice when they are improving. Don’t view these stats as concerns, but instead as tools that’ll help you play the best you can. More importantly, make sure you’re always having fun! Keep in mind both playing better players and losing are excellent ways to improve. If you’re improving, your stats will naturally improve over the long run. Note also it is easier to move up in rankings when you’re near the bottom so keep playing to improve. Constantly ask yourself why you lost, what you could have done better, and promise yourself to never make the same mistakes. Good luck!
The rankings are calculated using ELO ratings, which calculates score changes based on the relative strength of your opponent. A higher rated opponent will lose more points and win less points against a lower rated opponent. Equivalently, a lower rated opponent will win more points and lose less points against a higher rated opponent. I use this calculator: http://www.kosteniuk.com/EloCalc/elo.php. Everybody starts with 1500 rating. The ordering is by rating, then number of break and runs, then win/loss ratio.
